In this case, we will work with In-Cell LDCs. (OEM quality, can restore the true tone and change the viewer IC).
- Removing the IC from the original LCD
- First, we have to remove the glue with a QianLi spatula or similar tool. The recommended temperature is 180ºC
- Then we remove the IC with tweezers.
- Clean the IC (placed on a PCB/IC solder holder)
-
- After removing the epoxy with a heat gun (300 °C) and a QianLi spatula and having cleaned it, we will proceed to reballing.
-
- Apply a little solder paste at a low temperature (138 °C).
-
- We give heat to form the solder balls with a hot air gun (280 °C).
-
- Now, let’s install the original CI on the new screen.
-
- Apply some flow and put the original CI. Never use more than 260-280 °C to solder the IC to the new display.
-
- Then, we have to install and test the new screen and of course, check the touch.
After testing we managed to have: True Tone and no non-genuine screen warnings!
