Touch & Bump Sensor Module KY-031
The KY-031 Touch and Collision Sensor Module is a very simple and interesting sensor for detecting knocks, vibrations and touches. It has a small spring that forms a key that is closed depending on the amplitude of the vibration captured. When the module is at rest, the switch remains open. These two states can be processed by a microcontroller such as Arduino, ESP8266, ESP32 which in turn will perform an action that can be an alarm, a log, an email and etc.
You can use it, for example, stuck in machines to check if they are working or not, just checking their vibration level and later calculate how long and estimate how much energy that machine consumed in an interval of a month, for example.
