The TI Chip is the original chip used with Apple batteries. It supports programming with the serial number of the original battery, allowing for exact location and display of battery capacity. These chips offer enhanced functionality and compatibility.
Other Chips
A generic chip is a non-genuine component that doesn’t show the battery capacity in your phone’s settings, as it can’t be programmed with the serial number of the original battery.
Note: Even if a TI chip is an original chip, please note that the “non-original part” pop-up message may still appear, as the serial number of the old battery is different from that of the new battery, in which case you should only replace the cell (technical knowledge and specific tools are required to do this).
