About Micro Wire
Parts, repairs and engineering — by people who repair.
Micro Wire was born in a repair lab in Praia de Mira, Portugal, in 2020, from the belief that devices are made to last. We started out repairing; then we began selling the parts we used every day; today we are a component distributor selling from Portugal to the whole of Europe — with a repair lab and a software development team.
We serve people who repair — from professional technicians and repair shops to those fixing things at home — with parts of known quality, honest information and support from people doing micro-soldering at the next bench.
From Portugal, to all of Europe
Our vision
A future where repairing, reusing and refurbishing is the norm — and buying new is the exception.
We want to be a European leader in the circular economy for electronics: giving professionals and individuals the parts and know-how to extend the life of every device, and using our growth to support institutions and digital inclusion.
Our mission and values
Making repair accessible, with the right components and the technical know-how to extend the working life of every device. Our work rests on four pillars:
Quality and rigour
We buy top-tier batches and check them in our lab before they go into stock. A good repair starts with a good part.
We sell what we repair with
We use the parts we sell in our own repairs. That's why we can recommend the right solution — and tell you when a part won't do.
Transparency
Every part states its grade and our terms are written with no small print. You always know where you stand.
Speed
Our own stock and same-day dispatch for orders paid before the cut-off time. A stalled repair is a customer left waiting.
What we do
Parts and components
Screens, batteries, flex cables, connectors, tools and consumables for many brands, in several grades — always clearly labelled. We sell to individuals and businesses, with tiered reseller pricing for shops and technicians.
Repair lab
Where it all began. Repairs for smartphones, tablets, computers, consoles and industrial electronics, including micro-soldering and board-level repair, carried out by specialist technicians.
Technical support
No scripts. We help you diagnose the fault and find the exact part, in Portuguese, Spanish, French and English.
Software development
All of Micro Wire's technology — shops, ERP, carrier and marketplace integrations, AI-powered customer support — is built by our own team. We bring the same engineering to businesses that need custom software, through microwire.dev.
Authentication, OpenAPI documentation, versioning
Multilingual customer support, content, catalogue normalisation
Multi-country shops, custom ERP, marketplace integration
GLS, DPD, CTT, Correos Express — unified labels and tracking
Databases, market monitoring, pricing rules
Invoicing, newsletters, system synchronisation
From the workbench to Europe
Our journey since 2020.
The starting point
On 25 September, Clouds and Roots is founded in Praia de Mira. A 100% technical focus: specialist repair of smartphones, computers and industrial electronics.
The first website
We launch our repair services online and start offering the parts we used every day.
Micro Wire is born
To meet demand for parts across Portugal, we launch an online shop dedicated to components, under the Micro Wire brand.
Growth and marketplaces
We introduce real-time repair quotes and start selling on major marketplaces such as Fnac and KuantoKusta.
New premises
We move into a space of around 200 m² in Praia de Mira, bringing together store, lab, logistics and warehouse — ready to grow.
A European partner
From Praia de Mira, we sell across Europe through microwire.pt, .es, .fr and .eu, with a reseller programme for businesses, supply to public bodies and custom software projects.
Why choose Micro Wire?
