The GY-521 MPU-6050 module contains a MEMS accelerometer and gyroscope in a single chip. There are 3 axes for the accelerometer and 3 axes for the gyroscope, totaling 6 degrees of freedom (6DOF). Additionally, this board has a temperature sensor built into the MPU6050 IC, allowing measurements between -40 and +85 ºC. It offers high precision due to the 16-bit analog-to-digital converter for each channel. Therefore, the sensor captures the X, Y, and Z channels simultaneously.
