Screen and Battery Quality Guide

At Micro Wire, transparency is fundamental!
Understand the technical differences between various component qualities to make the right choice for your repair.

1. Screen Qualities

Apple
ECONOMICAL
Incell (LCD)

Economical option. In models that are originally OLED (e.g., iPhone X, 11 Pro), this technology converts the screen to LCD. Consumes slightly more battery and has a backlight, but is functional and cheap.

MODERATE
Hard OLED

OLED technology built on a rigid glass base. Has vibrant colors and real blacks, but is more fragile than Soft OLED (the internal display can crack upon heavy impact).

RECOMMENDED
Soft OLED

The best compatible option. Uses a flexible panel identical to the original. Offers high impact resistance (does not crack internally easily), perfect colors, and correct thickness.

HIGH
Refurbished (OEM)

Screens with the Original Apple image panel, where only the broken front glass has been replaced in a lab. Maintains 100% image quality and brightness.

HIGH
Pulled (Disassembly)

Genuine parts removed from new or used devices. It is a component 100% manufactured by the brand.

OFFICIAL
Service Pack

New part sold directly by the brand. It is 100% compatible and factory tested. In Apple's case, these parts are eligible to pass Apple Diagnostics and system configuration without errors.

2. Screen Technologies

  • TFT Basic and older technology. Has reduced viewing angles and lower brightness. Common in entry-level devices.
  • LCD / IPS The quality standard for liquid crystal displays. Offers good colors and excellent viewing angles. Requires a backlight.
  • OLED Organic Light Emitting Diodes. Each pixel has its own light, allowing for vivid colors and high contrast.
  • AMOLED Active Matrix OLED. An evolution of OLED with greater fluidity and lower power consumption. Standard in Samsung and high-end Androids.

Important Notes: Apple and Components

System Messages (Unknown Part)

In recent iPhones, parts are digitally "paired" to the motherboard.

  • Pulled or Refurbished: Even being original parts, the system might not recognize them (showing a warning in settings), as the part belonged to another device. To avoid this, the original control chip (IC) must be transplanted.
  • "Prime" Articles: If the article is Prime, it is possible to pass Apple Diagnostics activation, making the part recognized by the system (System Configuration).
  • Transplant: If the article is not Prime, check the description to see if it is compatible with chip transplantation (structure prepared for microsoldering).

Batteries and TI Chip

In the case of batteries, the Prime designation remains. If the battery indicates TI Chip, it means it has the original Texas Instruments controller (the same one Apple uses), ensuring maximum stability.

Note: Although they have original quality, they may not be diagnosable without transplanting the original BMS. Micro Wire does not sell other inferior technologies, as they do not meet our quality standard.

What is Service Pack?

It is the official part sold by the brand in its service packaging.

It is 100% compatible with the device and always factory tested. In Apple's case, these parts pass Apple Diagnostics.

What is OEM?

Acronym for Original Equipment Manufacturer.

It is an item with the same technical specification as the original, passing through the same quality and manufacturing tests. However, due to customs and patent issues, it may be sold without the brand logos printed.
